- Foster mutual respect and understanding among
all racial, religious and nationality groups;

- Study human relationships in the community
and make them public;

- Alleviate intergroup tension conflict;

- Conduct programs that increase harmony;

- Provide access to all phases of community life
for all;

- Confer, persuade, conciliate or mediate complaints
of alleged discrimination;

- Under a Memorandum of Agreement with the State
Division of Human Rights (SDHR), if the discimination is under their jurisdiction, we:
- Receive, report, investigate and recommend
a determination of whether the alleged discrimination took place
|

- The Commission office receives complaints of
alleged discrimination based upon race/color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status
or prior arrest or conviction record in the areas of Employment, Housing, Credit and Public Accommodation.
